Big Barracudas are out on the flats of the Lower Keys. This one ate a Gator Spoon and give us a few nice jumps.

The black fin tuna were popping in 180ft to 130ft of water today. Live pilchards on 30lbs test leader worked great.The Snappers are biting!!!

The snapper fishing has been awesome on the the pitch reefs. There has been big Mangrove Snappers and big Lane Snappers as well as some nice Grouper. Live bait is a must.

Had a Great day fishing off Key West with Wyatt and Butch of Michigan. Wyatt after a nice fight got his first Tarpon to the boat. 
Sharks and Jacks

The first real cold front of the fall is here and with it comes the wind. During the past 2 days the gusts have been reaching 30-40 mph so I would recommend staying on land until it dies down a bit. Tomorrow the winds are supposed to come down to near 10 mph but there’s bound to be some stronger gusts mixed in. If you can get out there, I would go for the sharks. Big lemons and bull sharks are all over the flats with jacks always tagging along. I’ve been seeing schools of about 4 or 5 Permit lately but with the wind blowing like it has, it has been a challenge to land one. The next best thing is big sharks on light tackle which is always guaranteed to be a good time.
